In 1986 TEKTRON EQUIPMENT CORP. started a new division in advanced composite fabrication.
A training program was established, design and building, details in the TEKTRON-50 established
and construction started under the watchful eye of
John Shuttleworth. This design incorporated the Shuttleworth principles of DYNAMIC STABILITY, for the maximum safety at sea. The requirement to give a cruising boat the advantages of excellent performance separated this boat from the traditional multihull. Incorporating the highest level of composite fabrication endeared the project to a long active, stable value life. Boats completed:
